What we do
We have a Brigade at each station and it is made up of members who are either Firefighters or Operational Support personal who volunteer their time when they are available. Many members may work away from their station or not be available for every call out. and that is fine. The more people we have means the load is spread over more members and increases our ability to assist our community when they need it most.
Firefighters
We respond to Emergency situations ranging from bushfires, grass fires, structure fires, vehicle fires and crashes, HazMat incidents, fallen trees, Traffic control and assist other agencies such as SA Police, State Emergency Service and SA Ambulance Service.
Operational Support
They offer the back end support such as Radio and comms, Logistics and administration positions for the Brigade.
Brigade Training
This Training is held usual once a week or every 2 weeks depending on what the Brigade has in place. Usually every Tuesday night at 7.00pm. These nights are where members practice their skills and ensure the Brigade is ready to respond to emergencies when called upon.

Training
All Members are professionally trained through SACFS and other Training organizations to the required level for there operational roles. Once your Safecom clearance (Gov Police clearance) comes through and you are voted into the brigade you become member of that Brigade. Your training starts with the Brigade until you are booked on a Basic Firefighting 1 CFS course. When you complete this course you are able to respond to incidents on the Fire Tankers (Fire Truck) with a crew from your brigade. There are many other courses to develop your skills further.
